Fabrication Technician

Program Description: This position assists in the manufacturing of PODs

Primary Job Functions

• Ability to demonstrate or acquire the skills necessary to perform welding activities utilizing the GMAW /MIG, GTAW/TIG processes of aluminum, carbon steel, and stainless steel    

• Ability to learn how to trouble shoot and repair problems with welding machines

• Ability to Identifies need for replacement equipment and informs supervisor 

• Ensures cost-effective usage of all equipment, supplies and tools 

• Ensures accurate inventory 

• Ability to assist supervisor with inventory control by charging materials to correct projects

• Must be a team player and willing to help other personnel 

• Ability to maintain a clean and organized work area

• Ensures equipment is maintained and in working order

• Must be willing to operate a grinder, metabo and stationary saws, and basic hand tools

• Ability to lift and carry 50lbs safely and repeatedly

• Acquire the skills and certifications needed to safely and efficiently operate forklifts/tele-tracks  

• Ability to demonstrate or acquire the skills needed to read, comprehend and lay out fabrication materials per blue print specifications. 

Essential Job Functions:

• Ability and willingness to travel

• Works unscheduled OT as needed

• Valid DL required

• Must be able to travel out of country on company business (passport required)

• Able to lift and carry 25 pounds unassisted regularly 

• Required to work off ladders for extended periods of time 

• Work safely 100% of the time

• Ability to read blueprints

• Ability to plan ahead

High School Diploma Or GED equivalent
