Automation Technician - Immediate Relocation to College Station, TX

Program Description: This position performs functions associated with the manufacturing of Modular Bio processing Units.  The Manufacturing Technician relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish tasks and goals set forth by the Shop Manager.

Automation Job Functions

• Dimension and layout of back panels and enclosures

• Mounting of components to back panels and enclosures

• Routing and bundling of wire and cables neatly to meet wiring standards

• Point to point wiring of relays, controls, PLCs, I/O Modules, VFDs, Interfaces, & Instrumentation

• Troubleshoot panels as needed to eliminate wiring errors and component malfunctions

• Maintain red line drawing mark-ups of changes required during fabrication

• Communicates effectively with all team members, leads, builders, engineers and the Project Manager

• A high standard of quality and attention to detail.

• Perform other duties as assigned or as needed

• Willing to travel

• Always ensures accurate inventory and organization 

• Ensures cost-effective usage of all equipment, supplies and tools in Shop 

• Maintain a clean and organized work area

• Must be a team player and willing to help other personnel with assigned job tasks

• Must be punctual and reliable

• Works unscheduled OT occasionally

• Responsible for all assigned tools

• Valid DL required

• Must be able to travel out of country on company business (obtain a passport)

• Required to Be on time and at work daily 

• Able to lift and carry 25 pounds unassisted regularly 

• Required to work off ladders for extended periods of time 

• Work safely 100% of the time

• Work well with others 

• Ability to read blue prints

• Able to complete task with minimal supervision/instruction

• Able to plan for next task 

• Self-motivated

Position Specifications

Education and/or Experience:

High School Diploma Or GED equivalent

Minimum of 1 years Construction, manufacturing and fabrication experience

Fire alarm installation experience is a plus
